Our Story

It all started with 2 friends, Omar (Left) and Giacomo (Right) who met 10 years ago when they both arrived in Australia with 1000$ in their bank accounts. On the 20th of February 2017 they took the keys of a little cafe named 'Cucinetta' and turned it in one of Melbourne’s Busiest and Top Boutique Restaurants!

“You guys are always packed! How do you do that?”

We sure remember when we first opened and no one was coming through the door for the first 5 months.
We always wanted to be involved in the food and wine industry.

Flavours and food were always an interest of ours, especially understanding how they brought friends and family together to celebrate not only the special occasions, but everyday life.
Being able to pursue a career that brings people together has been a blessing! It is not just about the food; it's the whole experience that counts. People won’t remember what they ate but they will remember how you made them feel.

After a while, it was time for a new adventure, so the two friends teamed up with Chef Donatello (middle), also Giacomo's brother, to take over a renowned Melbourne Institution and bring it back to its golden days - Cosi Bar Ristorante.
They haven't stopped working on the project since September 2019 and Cosi is now back to being a go-to South Yarra spot where you can breathe, live, eat and drink the Italian culture and experience a taste of 'La Dolce Vita'.
